Pilate Inscription Plaque 1/6th scale

Discovered in 1961 by Italian archaeologists, this nondescript plaque bore great historical significance.  Carved into this limestone plate is the name of Pontius Pilate, the Roman Prefect of Judea from 26 to 33 AD.

Many scholars had earlier believed Pilate to be only a fictitious character created for the Biblical crucifixion story.  And yet here, carved in stone, archeologists had uncovered another living testament to the truth of the Gospels.

Now, you can own an exacting replica of this historic monument, recreated from a direct study of the original surviving tablet.

Cast in high-quality polystone and finished exactly as it currently appears today.

Comes with a wooden display base, which holds the replica up using a clear, acrylic rod.
